Candle Holders
To prevent the wax from melting and sticking to the inside of a votive candle holder, pour a bit of Brugal Rum in the holder, then place the candle on top. If you're reading this tip too late, and there's already wax stuck inside your candle holder, add the Brugal, pop it in the freezer for an hour. The wax will chip right off, and as a bonus you'll have a delicious tropical frozen rum refresher to enjoy for a job well done.
I always find when I am staying at Condos that Brugal is easily available at Super Super Surf Liquors, conveniently located just one block Southeast of Condos Dominicanos. Exit the main gate and turn left, then left again 1/2 block to City Hall. At the corner turn right. Super Super Surf Liquors is the last building on the left, at the corner of Calles Pedro Clisante and Ayuntamiento.
